Weekend of September 9+10

so many ways to connect this fall

As our church continues to grow, so do the many opportunities for connection and discipleship. This weekend during our services you’ll learn a bit more about the many options available to adults. From small groups, that meet in people’s homes or at church on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, to Bible studies and connection points within women’s ministry, to our men’s pancake breakfast and weekly gatherings, to two different groups for young adults between the ages of 18-23 and 24-30, we have a wide varieity of connection points, prayer opportunities, and ways to grow deeper in community and in your faith. Questions? Email Jonathan Haage.

Reminder: Main parking lot closed next week
Our main parking lot will be closed the week of September 11-14
for its final round of updates and finishes. Plan to access Five Oaks Church via Finley Rd, off of Hargis Parkway, and park in either our west or south parking lots. Questions? Email Brian Burquest.

Backyard block party: Key deets!

By now you likely have heard we’re throwing a party for our new neighbors on September 29 outside our west entrance. It promises to be a great evening of yard games, food trucks, and a chance to meet our new neighbors! We’d love your prayers surrounding this event - prayers for our neighbors who will come, of course prayers for great weather, prayers for easy conversations and the start of important connections. Please register at www.fiveoaks.church/blockparty to help us plan well with food, and plan to bring your family and your readiness to help our newest neighbors feel welcomed in Woodbury and at Five Oaks! Questions? Please email Jonathan Haage, jhaage@fiveoakschurch.org.

Got a welcoming smile?
You know that awkward “I’m new here” feeling? We have lots of new neighbors and with that comes opportunities to expand our Connections Ministry. We’d like some friendly, smiling faces greeting at our west entrance, which for our new neighbors is now our second front door! We’re also looking for more volunteers on our concierge team to help new people get connected into the life of our church. Interested or have questions? Please email Laura-Paige Albert.

Moving on up!
With all the back-to-school excitement we are also planning a bit of fun for our elementary kids as they move up to their next grade in our Five Oaks Kids classes. Please join us this weekend and enjoy some milk and cookies as our kids are “Mooving Up!” This is also a great weekend to invite friends to come check out Five Oaks!
