Celebrate with us this weekend!
We can’t wait for the celebration that comes with our Faith Milestones during worship services this weekend. We have baptisms and dedications that weekend, and our whole church family celebrates what God is doing in those who are taking these steps. We know this is a celebration you want your children to be a part of, so elementary-aged kids will worship with their families that weekend. Help with healing from divorce or separation
DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week Christ-centered support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. The group meets at Five Oaks Church at 7 pm on Monday evenings. Find our group on www.divorcecare.org to sign up.
Join us for the congregational meeting and fellowship
Sunday, November 5 at 4 pm is our annual congregational meeting. This includes worship, a short business meeting and vision from Pastor Henry and our leadership team, plus tacos for supper afterward. We’ll vote on elder and governing board candidates too. (Five Oaks members may vote, but all members and regular attenders are invited to attend and participate in discussion.) Serve a meal at Dorothy Day
If you’d like to make a difference to our neighbors in St. Paul, join us to prepare and serve a meal at the Dorothy Day Center on November 4, 9:30 am-1:15 pm. Interested? A Very Merry Family Advent: Coming soon!
The leaves are in full fall splendor at the moment, but the Christmas holidays are right around the corner! Save the date for our Very Merry Family Advent on November 26, 4:30 pm. We’ll have options that include group games for toddlers to grandparents, board games, crafts and some time to socialize. More details and registration to come, but for now, save the date!
Camp Getaway: LAST CALL to register
High schoolers often run a very busy schedule, so a weekend away with friends for games, worship, learning about their place in the Story of God, and meeting new friends is super important. Registration is now open for our annual fall campout. We’re going back to Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch this year, November 3-5. More details and registration here. Questions? Ladies, do you love brunch?
Join other ladies at the November TABLE on Wednesday, November 1, 9:30 am at Five Oaks Church. This is a potluck-style meal with fellowship and a time of guided conversation. Drive Season: Provide a UGM Thanksgiving Bag to those in need
We’re partnering with the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities to provide Thanksgiving meals to those who cannot afford to purchase the staples for a holiday meal. Shopping lists are available to pick up in the commons at the chalkboard! Please return filled bags to church by November 12.
