Faith milestone celebration this weekend!
Our worship service will look and feel a little different this weekend. You may notice we have more visitors and more elementary-aged kids present in worship. This is because we’re celebrating the important faith milestones of family dedications and baptism this weekend. We love to watch God work in the hearts of our Five Oakers who are ready to publicly proclaim their salvation in Jesus by being baptized. We also love to watch our church grow as our families grow, and we are honored to join with families in dedicating babies and children to our local church and to Christ’s church. Join us as we promise to come alongside these families in these important faith milestones. We praise God for the seeds he sows in our church family!

In the summer something huge takes place here at Five Oaks! The whole church is transformed into a place where kids of all ages come to engage and encounter God and his community in a life-changing way at Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) camp, July 15-18. VBS is open to current ages 3 years old through 3rd grade. FCA sports camp is open to current 4th - 7th grades. Volunteers are needed for both events. Need a date night?
Of course you do! On Friday, May 10, from 5:30-8:30 pm, drop off your kids at church and enjoy some time together. Five Oaks Students is raising money for impactful summer trips, such as the Challenge conference and Middle School Camp Getaway. $15/child. Donations are also welcome! We will have pizza and plenty of games for your kids. Register here by May 6.
Meet the missionaries visiting this weekend

Curious about missions and impact at Five Oaks?
Once per quarter, our volunteer Impact & Missions leaders gather for dinner to share stories and plans, collaborate on ministry ideas, and to pray for each other and for God’s blessing and glory on the work that we’re doing. Have time on Mother’s Day to bless young moms?
Mother’s Day is traditionally a day to bless and honor our moms and mother figures. This year, we have a unique opportunity to bless local moms, many of whom we may never meet. Because of a friendly partnership between New Life Family Services (NLFS) and the Woodbury Just Between Friends Sale, NLFS receives all leftover baby and maternity clothing from the JBF Sale hosted at the M Health Fairview Sports Center. This is a great way for NLFS to restock their clothing closets with needed baby clothes, in addition to the other donations they get throughout the year from churches and individuals. This year, the sale runs May 8-11, which means Sunday, May 12, is NLFS' day to pack and pick up all of the donations. We are looking for 10-12 volunteers to help between 12 and 3:30 pm on May 12 in removing clothes from hangers and bagging them. Global 6K for Water is back!
Did you know that in some countries, kids often walk 3+ miles each day to access dirty water, the only water they can find? You can help simply by joining our fourth annual Team World Vision Global 6K for Water at Colby Lake Park on May 18. You can run, walk, push a stroller, and bring your friends and neighbors!
